The fixed-based full-mission flight simulator for the TS-11 "ISKRA" aircraft is designed for training pilot skills in respect of day to day operations, weapon use and emergencies acting. The simulator is to provide trainees with a genuine copy of flight conditions with all the outside flight influencing factors. The simulator may be optionally installed on a motion platform with 3 or 6 degrees freedom.
The simulator cockpit of the cabin of the TS-11 "ISKRA" is equipped with the instrument imitators of navigational-flying instruments and flight control. Computer visualisation system consisting of 3-channel, collimating system, computer generating image system basing on Silicon Graphics XS-24Z graphics, 1280x1024 resolution, with the possibility of changing the weather, season, day/dusk/night conditions and a hi-fi sound generator simulating aerodynamic, engine and flight noises let trainees feel the real flying conditions.

The flight is controlled from instruction stand, where an instructor can observe all manoeuvres performed by a trainee and communicate with a trainee by voice communication system. The instructor may: choose initial parameters for training flight, control the training process, register and analyse training and initiate simulation encounters and failures.
