The Mig-21 MF is a multi role fighter plane that can fight under all weather conditions. It is a frontline fighter that can takeoff and land on grass runways. The Prototype of this plane was tested in 1967. Since 1968 the MiG-21 MF came to the squadrons of the soviet air force. The First combat flights were on the skies of Vietnam and the Near East. On 14th October 1973, during the Yom Kippur war, it was mainly the MF the plane with whom Egyptian pilots annihilated a massive Israeli air raid. The kill rate of the MiG-21MF on this day was 18 kills to 6 losses (2 MiGs of them crashed by running out of fuel).
