The UTD-20 is a four-stroke V-6 engine designed to drive BMP infantry fighting vehicle. It is liquid cooled diesel, supercharged, developing 285/300 hp at 2600 rpm. The engin is adopted to engage with multi-plate dry clutch, constant engagement.
It is fitted with a compressing air starting system with an 24 V electric starter provided as a backup.
