The BVP-2 (BMP-2) is a tracked amphibious Infantry Fighting Vehicle intended to equip mechanized infantry and tank sub-units, increase their mobility and protect personnel on the battle field from mass destruction weapons. The BMP-2 carries ten infantrymen and can engage various targets including tanks and combat helicopters. The infantrymen can deliver aimed fire through firing ports in troop and crew compartments. The vehicle is fitted with a 30 mm gun, 7,62 mm coaxial MG and 2x3 81 mm smoke grenades discharger, and can be provided with anti-tank guided missile system. The communication system includes UKF radio-set and intercom.
